Since then, this department is working on Collection &amp; Dissemination of Environmental Knowledge among the people by building up human expertise through M.Sc, M.Phil &amp; Research programmes. The Department has six permanant faculty members with diverse reseach areas &#8211; from Biodiversity, Ecology, Geology, Atmospheric Science, Pollution Chemistry upto Cell signalling &amp; Toxicology, each having separate laboratory. The faculties undertake consultancies &amp; projects in collaboration with Industry.<br>The Department has an\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/deskuenvis.nic.in\">ENVIS Centre<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0on Environmental Biotechnology (<strong>MoEF<\/strong>\u00a0Supported) since 2002.
